Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes

SSW Lourdes

You will be pleased to know that we had a safe and grace filled pilgrimage to Lourdes. Each day had its own highlights.

This year we took 51 pilgrims, see above, and in 2012 we hope to take 80 plus. We also hope to have affordable fares and accomodation, especially for young families. So start saving now. We will most likely add an extra day so that it will be a four night, five day pilgrimage. Father Michael and I want you to know that ALL your petitions and Mass intentions were placed at the Grotto when we celebrated Mass there. Please let Father Michael and I know of any graces, blessings and prayer requests you have received. All monies offered for Mass intentions were used for the smooth running of the pilgrimage and subsidised many of the events. Fr George.

A Birthday Celebration

A Thanksgiving Mass was held at St. Swithun Wells Church for Joan Haskett who celebrated her 90th birthday on Thursday, 25th August.  Father Michael presented Joan with a basket of flowers from her Parish family
